Not to think myself great in doing it

But to think myself late in doing it

To bother when not to bother creeps in easier

Giving over when waste accumulates, points to failure

  Endeavouring workarounds for softening sensibilities

Without being clever and scoring off cynic rivalries

Take a weight with goodwill and choose to make light of it

And to bend or to quake under all, than to baulk or quit

  Celebrate troubles departing, gone on a one way trip

Undertake using mercy, notwithstanding its counter-dish

Keep a holding, a fold, for a rascally unlit world

And a call for it all to eventually end in dancing

  And then time to be struck by the muster bell going clang

Then when all wrong is over, everyone’s merry glad
